What is the Developing Communication Skills Course about?
The Developing Communication Skills Course consists of 3 online modules in total, with 4 – 7 units per module. Students can take the course on any device at their own pace. Each module is designed to support both domestic and international students through the process of developing their communication skills prior to graduation. The course has been developed to address the significant gap identified between the importance employers place on communication skills and their satisfaction with graduates’ proficiency in these skills. The course is designed to be part of a package of online courses that are offered to students through a co-branded employability training platform, custom-built to support the value proposition of your institution.

The first Module commences with the establishment of communication benchmarks that each student needs in order to be successful. We cover each communication type and explore essential communication skills, finishing with the ability to evaluate and demonstrate high level communication skills.
ADVANCING COMMUNICATION SKILLS
We help each student to develop communication skills in practice – in daily life and in work scenarios. Students complete exercises to further develop their communication skills.
Module 3
COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN JOB APPLICATIONS
The purpose of this course is to prepare students with communication skills for the job application process. Because communication is a priority soft skill that employers demand, this Module teaches students about communication in the workplace for context, and then moves straight into how to apply their new communication skills to a written job application. We help students to add their new communication skills to their resume, prepare their LinkedIn profile, and we finish the Module with how to handle questions about communication skills in a job interview.
